This article covers statements Alabama Attorney General Luther Strange made at a Kiwanis club meeting in Chelsea, Ala., saying that “some elements are trying to politicize the immigration issue.”

He does not feel that the Supreme Court has the right to challenge the Alabama immigration law.

Strange is politicizing immigration himself by making it a state vs. federal government issue. He elaborates further in asserting that Alabama is being stigmatized for its segregationist past “50 to 60 years ago.”
